CNAIR has submitted for publication the Contract Notice related to the public procurement contract WORKS EXECUTION "EXPRESS ROAD Connection Satu Mare (VO Satu Mare) - Oar (Romanian-Hungarian Border - Express Road M49 Hungary)" - FIDIC RED.

The Contract Notice will be visible after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The estimated value of the procurement procedure is 738,220,928.60 lei excluding VAT, and the source of funding is provided from non-reimbursable European funds through the Transport Program.

The deadline for receiving offers has been set for 14.03.2024.

The Express Road Oar - Satu Mare, named "Someș Express," has a length of approximately 10.83 km with 2 lanes in each direction with a design speed of 120 km/h, two interchanges, two parking lots (one on each side), a CIC, an ITS system. The express road will connect to express road M49 at the border with Hungary.

The beginning of the express road is located on the beltway of Satu Mare municipality, in a lowland area, north of DN19, between the bridge over Someș and the junction with DN19.

In this area, a type B interchange will be arranged, a "trumpet" type, which will fit between the ramps of the existing interchange that ensures the traffic exchange between the Satu Mare Bypass - DN19 and the bridge of the Bypass over the Someș River.

The duration of the works will be 24 months. The warranty period for the works may vary between 60 and 120 months, depending on the evaluation factor.

The construction of this express road section will generate the development of the area along its route, create new jobs, and due to attracting transit traffic from the local inhabited areas, the express road will have a positive impact in terms of pollution reduction.
