Minister Adrian-Ioan Veștea has signed 56 new funding contracts worth a total of 666,756,305.43 Romanian Lei at the headquarters of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration. These contracts were signed in partnership with some of the project beneficiaries and are aimed at various local development initiatives.

The contracts cover the following areas:

  1. Modernization of local streets and roads.
  2. Establishment or expansion of drinking water supply systems.
  3. Establishment or expansion of domestic sewage networks and wastewater treatment plants.
  4. Construction or reconstruction of bridges.
  5. Establishment of natural gas distribution networks.

In addition to these contracts, Minister Veștea also signed three contracts, totaling 124,050,098.37 Romanian Lei, which are funded through the National Program for the Consolidation of Buildings with High Seismic Risk. These contracts are focused on the consolidation and energy renovation of two educational units and one public building.

Minister Veștea emphasized the importance of local authorities' involvement in reducing seismic risk, highlighting that it is a shared responsibility that benefits both citizens and authorities.

The Ministry of Development has opened the second application round for funding requests under the National Program for the Consolidation of Buildings with High Seismic Risk. Beneficiaries can submit the necessary documents for accessing the available funds through the digital platform investitii.mdlpa.ro, and there is no specific deadline for submissions.
