The Government, at the proposal of the Ministry of Development, has adopted a legislative act that provides for covering the costs incurred due to the rising prices of construction materials, allowing the construction of ten new environmentally friendly nurseries.

Construction work could have begun as early as the fall of 2023, announced the Minister of Development, Cseke Attila.

Cseke Attila stated: "The 'Saint Anne' government program for building nurseries is a priority for us, as it supports young families and addresses Romania’s biggest challenge today – demographic decline.

So far, nine new nurseries have been built with European funding and handed over to local communities. By the end of the year, we aim to construct and deliver a total of 75 such nurseries. This is the task assigned to the National Investment Company (CNI), which operates under the Ministry of Development and is responsible for overseeing the nursery construction process."

As is well known, at the beginning of his new term as minister, Cseke Attila approved the necessary funding to unblock the construction of 22 additional modern and environmentally friendly nurseries. Together with the ten approved today, a total of 32 nurseries whose construction was at risk have now been secured.
