In December 2023, a total of 60,581 properties were sold nationwide, which is 2,708 less than in November. The number of houses, lands, and apartments involved in transactions in December is 717 higher compared to the same period in 2022.

The majority of property sales in December 2023 were recorded in Bucharest – 15,454, Ilfov – 4,077, and Brașov – 3,797. The counties with the fewest properties sold during the same period are Teleorman – 104, Caraș Severin – 275, and Ialomița – 296.

The number of mortgages nationwide in December 2023 was 34,832, which is 5,770 higher than in December 2022. Most of these transactions were recorded in Ilfov – 6,427, Bucharest – 6,319, and Constanța – 1,758. On the other hand, the counties with the fewest mortgages are Gorj – 70, Harghita – 93, Sălaj – 93, and Bistrița-Năsăud – 98.

The counties with the highest number of agricultural land transactions in the twelfth month of 2023 are Dolj – 734, Brăila – 644, and Buzău – 611.

In 2023, a total of 634,843 properties were transacted, which is 65,430 fewer than in 2022 when 700,273 properties were sold.

Last year, the highest number of property sales was recorded in October – 63,630, while the lowest were in January – 33,274. In 2022, the most transactions occurred in March – 72,123, and the fewest in January – 39,510.
