The National Housing Agency (ANL), an institution under the authority of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA), has received, in the town of Săveni (Botoșani County), 24 housing units for young people, intended for rent.

The housing units (5 studios, 17 two-room apartments, and 2 three-room apartments) were built on the site located at 1 Decembrie Street no. 24-26, with a height regime of P+3E+M (ground floor+3 floors+attic), the investment value being 6,164,644.31 lei (including VAT).

To date, in Botoșani County, ANL has completed, within the housing construction program for young people intended for rent, 1,101 housing units in the following localities: Botoșani (783), Dorohoi (272), Darabani (16), and Săveni (30).

The housing construction program for young people intended for rent was launched by ANL in 2001. The housing units are built on land made available to the Agency by local public authorities, the beneficiaries being young people aged between 18 and 35 who meet the conditions provided by law to access such housing.

Access is made by submitting applications to the town halls, which are responsible for drawing up the allocation lists.

Currently, the housing units for young people can be purchased by tenants after a minimum one-year rental period, by paying equal monthly installments to local public authorities, by contracting mortgage loans from authorized financial institutions, including with state guarantee, or by full payment of the final price from own sources.

The necessary funding for the program is provided from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA), from local budgets, as well as from other legally constituted sources.
