The National Housing Agency (ANL), an institution under the authority of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration (MDLPA), has received, in the town of Scornicești (Olt County), 12 housing units for young people, intended for rental.

The housing units (5 studios, 3 two-room apartments, and 4 three-room apartments) were built on a height regime of S+P+2F (basement+ground floor+2 floors), with an investment value of 3,555,486.38 lei (including VAT).

To date, in Olt County, ANL has completed, under the same program, 834 housing units in the localities of Caracal (194), Piatra Olt (120), Balș (80), Scornicești (60), Drăgănești-Olt (60), Corabia (20), Potcoava (24), Slatina (264), and Vișina (12).

***

The housing construction program for young people, intended for rental, was launched by ANL in 2001.

The housing units are built on land provided to the Agency by local public authorities, and the beneficiaries are young people between 18 and 35 years old who meet the conditions prescribed by law to access such housing. Access is done by submitting applications to the town halls, which then compile the allocation lists.

Currently, housing for young people can be purchased by tenants, after a minimum one-year rental period, by paying equal monthly installments to local public authorities, by contracting mortgage loans from authorized financial institutions, including with state guarantees, or by paying the full price from their own sources.

The funds necessary for financing the program are provided from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration (MDLPA), from local budgets, as well as from other legally established sources.
