The Monitoring Committee of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Program has decided to postpone the funding of small-scale projects due to the current situation in Ukraine. The funds allocated in the program for this area will be the subject of a new project call that will be launched later.
Considering the current situation in the region covered by the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Program on the Ukrainian side (the Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattya, Chernivtsi, Odesa oblasts), caused by Russia's aggression against the neighboring country, the implementation of small-scale projects aimed at the restoration of historical monuments, the rehabilitation of access roads to these monuments, as well as tourism promotion activities in this area, will not be supported.
The funds allocated to this area will be the subject of a new project call, depending on the situation's evolution in Ukraine.
As the Applicant's Guide for small-scale projects is in public consultation on www.ro-ua.net until August 31st of this year, those interested in carrying out cooperation projects are kindly requested to access the document without considering the information related to Priority 2 - Cross-Border Social Development, specific objective: Increasing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion, and social innovation.
