The National Company for the Management of Road Infrastructure (COMPANIA NAȚIONALĂ DE ADMINISTRARE A INFRASTRUCTURII RUTIERE S.A.), as the Financing Beneficiary, and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MINISTERUL TRANSPORTURILOR SI INFRASTRUCTURII), as the coordinator of reforms and/or investments for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, have agreed to the conclusion of Financing Contract No. 43 for the project "Feasibility Study and Construction Permit Project for the Construction of 4 Underground Pedestrian Passages (DRDP Timisoara)" for the purpose of funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component 4.

Sustainable transport; Reform R1 - Sustainable transport, decarbonization, and road safety / Investment I3 - Development of sustainable road infrastructure on the TEN-T network, road pricing, traffic management, and road safety.

The overall objective of the project is to increase road safety by reducing the number of road accidents in the following areas:

Lot 1: Arrangement of an underground pedestrian passage DN 6 at km 381+200, Baile Herculane Station, Caras-Severin County;

Lot 2: Arrangement of an underground pedestrian passage DN 7 at km 383+830, in the locality of Santandrei, Hunedoara County;

Lot 3: Arrangement of an underground pedestrian passage DN 7 at km 536+700, in the locality of Vladimirescu, Arad County;

Lot 4: Arrangement of an underground pedestrian passage DN 79 at km 42+100, in the locality of Chisineu Cris, Arad County;

The total value of the project is 1,561,978.25 lei, of which the value of European funds under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan is 0.00 lei, national co-financing is 1,312,586.77 lei, and the associated VAT is 249,391.48 lei.

The implementation period of the project starts from the signing date until December 31, 2026, including, if applicable, the period of project activities before the signing of the Financing Contract, following the eligibility rules for expenses.
