Out of all the residential building permits issued, 71.7% are for rural areas. September 2023 experienced a decrease in the number of building permits for residential structures compared to the previous month, with 32 fewer permits issued.

Geographically, this decrease is reflected in the following development regions: Northeast (-64 permits), Northwest (-40), Center (-22), Southeast (-19), and South-Muntenia (-4). Increases were noted in the following development regions: West (+67 permits), Southwest Oltenia (+46), and Bucharest-Ilfov (+4).

In September 2023, 557 building permits for non-residential structures were issued, representing a 3.0% increase compared to August 2023. These permits correspond to a total usable area of 249,987 square meters, marking a 10.1% increase.

Compared to the previous month, September 2023 saw an increase in the usable area for non-residential building permits (+23,005 square meters).

Geographically, this increase is observed in the following development regions: West (+22,306 square meters), South-Muntenia (+16,503), Northwest (+8,693), Center (+6,416), Bucharest-Ilfov (+6,270), and Southwest Oltenia (+4,256). Decreases were observed in the development regions of Northeast (-31,218 square meters) and Southeast (-10,221).
