By residential areas, in the second quarter of 2023, the majority of dwellings were constructed in urban areas (64.1%).

The distribution of completed dwellings by funding sources in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the second quarter of 2022 reveals that the number of dwellings built with private funds increased by 309 dwellings, while those funded publicly decreased by 225 dwellings.

The regional distribution in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the second quarter of 2022 shows an increase in the number of completed dwellings in the following development regions: Southeast (+787 dwellings), Bucharest-Ilfov (+349), and South-Muntenia (+152).

Decreases in the number of completed dwellings were recorded in the following development regions: West (-529 dwellings), Northwest (-325), South-West Oltenia (-171), Northeast (-127), and Center (-52).

First half of 2023 compared to the first half of 2022

In the first half of 2023, 32,077 dwellings were put into use, a decrease of 494 dwellings compared to the first half of 2022.

The regional distribution in the first half of 2023 compared to the first half of 2022 highlights a decrease in the number of completed dwellings in the following development regions: Northwest (-1,065 dwellings), West (-598), Bucharest-Ilfov (-536), and Center (-314).

Increases in the number of completed dwellings were recorded in the following development regions: Southeast (+1,138 dwellings), Northeast (+669), South-Muntenia (+193), and South-West Oltenia (+19).
