The Monitoring Committee of the Romania-Republic of Moldova Interreg NEXT Program has approved the Applicant's Guide for cross-border investment projects.
The project call, worth 40 million euros in non-reimbursable funds, has been launched, and interested parties have four months to submit their funding applications.
Representatives from both participating countries gathered during the second meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova Program to approve the funding criteria for investment component projects (standard projects) as well as the process for project selection, evaluation, and contracting.
Those interested in accessing the funds available through this cooperation program will be able to submit projects aimed at rehabilitating, modernizing, and equipping education, healthcare, and tourism infrastructure in the border counties of Romania (specifically Botoșani, Iași, Vaslui, and Galați) and throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova.
Furthermore, projects with the objective of combating climate change and protecting biodiversity in the covered program areas will also be eligible for European funding.
During the same meeting, the Managing Authority presented the requirements for funding small-value projects to the representatives of both countries. The Applicant's Guide for these projects is open for public consultation until August 31, 2023, at the following address: https://www.ro-md.net/ro/noutati-2021-2027/consultare-publica-ghidul-solicitantului-pentru-proiecte-cu-valoare-mica .
