Minister Adrian-Ioan Veștea was on a working visit to Bacău county today, where he met with local public authorities and checked the progress of works on several investment projects funded by the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration (MDLPA) through the "Anghel Saligny" National Investment Program and the National Program for Public or Social Interest Constructions, carried out by the National Investment Company (CNI).

In the commune of Oituz, over 9 million lei are allocated for the construction of a road bridge at the Gălățanu point, with a length of 82.3 meters, of which over 55% of the work has been completed.

In the city of Slănic Moldova, the National Investment Company provides funding of over 17 million lei for the rehabilitation of torrents, with the main purpose of protecting the riverbanks and access roads.

For each of the six torrents (Bejan, Bradul, Muncelul, Râpe, Pavel, and Stroiu), upstream basins with spillway weirs are being arranged to capture/attenuate solid discharge - alluvium. Downstream of these sediment retention works, water drainage channels are being arranged with hydraulic energy dissipation.

Through the "Anghel Saligny" Program, MDLPA has also allocated 20 million lei for the construction of a bypass for heavy traffic in the city of Dărmănești. The works will be carried out over a length of 4,460 meters, with 7,745 meters of ditches and gutters and 2,430 meters of sidewalks.

Also in Dărmănești, CNI has allocated 7 million lei for the construction of a school sports hall, following a standard project, mainly dedicated to didactic use but capable of hosting recreational activities or local and county-level sports competitions.

In the city of Comănești, a type 1 sports facility is also being built, on an area of 13,202 sqm, equipped with a football field and a multifunctional court for sports activities such as handball, basketball, volleyball, and tennis.

The Ministry of Development, through the National Investment Company, has allocated 4,297,546 lei for expanding hospitalization spaces at the Municipal Emergency Hospital in Moinești, built between 1972 and 1975, which is the most important institution providing medical assistance to approximately 150,000 people (residents of the city and surrounding communes).

For the Emergency Hospital in Moinești, a new public procurement procedure is underway for equipping and expanding hospitalization spaces, with the opening of offers scheduled for November 24. In Moinești, an almost completed type 1 sports facility is also valued at over 8 million lei.

"We want things to move at a sustained pace, and projects to materialize as quickly as possible because it is very important for all investments to become a reality. The medium and long-term effects of these projects interconnect communities and help them grow. Each completed project represents significant support for citizens, whether we are talking about public utilities, transportation infrastructure, schools, hospitals, or sports facilities," said Minister Adrian-Ioan Veștea.
