Adrian-Ioan Veștea, the Minister of Development, Public Works, and Administration, recently visited the Giurgiu county for a working visit. During his visit, he met with local public authorities to discuss projects funded through programs coordinated by the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration.

The main focus of these investment programs is to benefit citizens, and the development efforts aim to cover as many localities in all Romanian counties as possible. The projects include providing quality public services such as potable water supply, sewage systems, housing, modernized roads, natural gas supply, as well as modern and energy-efficient medical and educational infrastructure, ensuring seismic safety.

In this context, Minister Veștea emphasized that the ministry supports seismic consolidation of buildings through legislative regulations and funds allocated for this purpose. He urged local authorities to identify buildings that have vulnerabilities in terms of seismic safety, whether they are residential blocks or public buildings such as educational institutions and medical facilities. This identification would enable them to access funds dedicated to the consolidation of such buildings.

During his visit, the Minister also inspected the progress of the local road modernization works in the town of Sfântu Gheorghe, Băneasa commune, funded through the "Anghel Saligny" National Investment Program. The project has a total value of 5,959,985.41 lei, with 5,842,778.87 lei allocated from the state budget through the Ministry of Development. The current execution progress of the works is 65%.

Additionally, Minister Veștea checked the status of two projects funded by the Ministry of Development through the National Investment Company in the Oinacu commune - a newly constructed sports hall with an investment of 10,125,208 lei and the rehabilitation, expansion, modernization, and equipping of a human clinic with an investment of 5,192,306 lei.
