The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) informs that, in partnership with Bihor County as the beneficiary of the financing and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure as the Intermediate Body for Transport, they have agreed to sign Financing Contract No. 252 for the revised project of the "Arad – Oradea Express Road" for the purpose of providing non-repayable financing.
The general objective of the project is to improve Romania's economic competitiveness through the development of transport infrastructure that facilitates economic integration into the EU, thus contributing to the development of the domestic market with the aim of creating conditions for increased investments, promoting sustainable transportation, and cohesion in the European road network.
The specific objectives of the project are the elaboration of the Feasibility Study, the Technical Execution Project, and the Project for the Authorization of Construction Works.
The total value of the project is 22,881,225.05 lei, and it will be financed through the 2014-2020 Large Infrastructure Operational Program, as follows: 85% from the European Union's contribution from the European Regional Development Fund - 16,086,145.75 lei, 15% from the own contribution - 2,838,731.60 lei, and the difference from the total value of the project representing ineligible value, including VAT.
Project duration: The implementation period of the project is 29 months, from August 16, 2021, to December 31, 2023, including, if applicable, the period of project activities before signing the Financing Contract, in accordance with the eligibility rules of expenses.
The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020.
