According to CNAIR, a committee recently met consisting of representatives from the Bihor County Council, the Cluj Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP), the Bihor County Police Inspectorate, and representatives of the contractor to verify the completion of works on the Sânmartin Bypass. Following the signing of the traffic handover report, traffic on the new road has been opened.

The connecting road between the municipality of Oradea and the commune of Sânmartin is 5.75 km long, with additional link roads to DN76 and the locality of Haieu, totaling 2.27 km.

Along the bypass, a bicycle path has been constructed that connects Oradea to Băile Felix.

The bypass route starts from Iancu de Hunedoara Street in Oradea and continues along the Peța Creek, towards Băile 1 Mai. It bypasses Băile Felix and joins DN76 at the exit from the resort towards Beiuș, before turning towards the locality of Cordău.

The contractor for the new road was the association formed by CONSTRUCȚII ERBAȘU S.A. – lead partner, VAHOSTAV-SK, a.s. – DRUMURI ORĂȘENEȘTI S.A. – PROCONS GROUP SRL.

The total investment value is 177,238,798 lei, including VAT. Funding was provided from external non-reimbursable funds, allocated through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014–2020 and the Transport Program 2021–2027.

The project was carried out within a partnership concluded between the Bihor County Council and the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration. (Photo: Dreamstime)
