THE NATIONAL COMPANY FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE S.A., as the Applicant, has developed and submitted the Financing Request for the project "Sfantu Gheorghe Bypass Route" for the purpose of obtaining non-reimbursable financing allocated through the Transport Program, under RSO3.2_ Development and increase of sustainable, climate-resilient, smart, and intermodal national, regional, and local mobility, including improving access to the TEN-T and cross-border mobility European Regional Development Fund:

The general objective of the project is to improve Romania's economic competitiveness through the development of transport infrastructure that facilitates economic integration into the EU, thereby contributing to the development of the domestic market with the aim of creating conditions for increasing investment volume, promoting sustainable transport, and cohesion in the European road network.
The specific objective of the project:
New road construction: 11.56 km
Intersections with national or county roads: 4 pieces
Overpasses over the railway: 3 pieces (overpasses)
Service areas type S1: 2 pieces
Maintenance center: 1 piece
Reducing travel time by approximately 3 minutes for car trips and 1.5 minutes for freight vehicle trips
The total value of the project is 355,105,884.18 lei and will be financed through the Transport Program as follows: the contribution of the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund - 119,443,104.98 lei, from Romania's own contribution - 179,164,657.46 lei, the difference up to the total value of the project representing ineligible expenses including VAT, namely 56,498,121.74 lei.
The duration of the project is 49 months.
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
