Funding Contract Signed for the Feasibility Study of the Târgu Neamț – Iași – Ungheni Motorway

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, acting as the Managing Authority for the Transport Programme 2021–2027, and the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR), acting as the Beneficiary, have signed Financing Contract No. 88/2025 for the project entitled:

“Completion / Revision / Update of the Feasibility Study for the Târgu Neamț – Iași – Ungheni Motorway”

General Objective of the Project

The project aims to enhance Romania’s economic competitiveness by developing transport infrastructure that facilitates economic integration into the European Union, thereby contributing to the growth of the internal market. The initiative seeks to create the necessary conditions for increased investment volumes, to promote sustainable transport, and to foster cohesion within the European road network.

• Total project value: RON 45,945,683.28
• Non-reimbursable eligible funding from the Cohesion Fund (CF): RON 18,378,273.31, representing 40% of the total approved eligible amount
• Beneficiary’s eligible co-financing, representing 60% public co-financing: RON 27,567,409.97
