In January 2024, a total of 37,241 properties were sold nationwide, according to ANCPI, which is 23,340 fewer than in December. However, this number is 3,967 higher compared to the same period in 2023.
The majority of property sales in January 2024 were recorded in Bucharest – 6,625, Ilfov – 2,797, and Brasov – 2,030. On the other hand, the counties with the fewest properties sold during the same period are Teleorman – 115, Ialomița – 203, and Alba – 237.
The number of mortgages nationwide in January 2024 was 19,052, which is 2,663 higher than in January 2023.
The highest number of mortgage operations were recorded in Bucharest – 3,763, Ilfov – 1,549, and Iași – 1,076. Conversely, the counties with the lowest number of mortgages are Harghita – 38, Gorj – 67, and Sălaj – 70.
Regarding agricultural land sales in the first month of 2024, the counties with the highest number of transactions were Botoșani – 469, Dolj – 464, and Bihor – 420.
