In May 2024, 43,601 properties were sold nationwide, 18,117 fewer than in April.
The number of houses, land, and apartments that were subject to transactions in May is 13,598 less than in the same period of 2023.
The most real estate sales in May 2024 were recorded in Bucharest – 7,390, Ilfov – 3,269, and Brașov – 2,271. The counties with the fewest properties sold in the same period are Teleorman – 76, Sălaj – 261, and Olt – 299.
The number of mortgages nationwide in May 2024 was 23,894, 1,806 more than in May 2023. Most of these operations were registered in Bucharest – 4,401, Ilfov – 1,928, and Timiș – 1,709. On the opposite end are the counties Sălaj – 38, Harghita – 46, and Gorj – 54.
The counties where the most agricultural land was sold in the fifth month of 2024 are Dolj – 627, Botoșani – 448, and Brăila – 433.
