Real Estate Transactions in March 2025: Over 56,000 Properties Sold Nationwide

In March 2025, a total of 56,236 real estate properties were sold across Romania, representing an increase of 4,258 transactions compared to February.

The number of houses, land plots, and apartments sold in March was also 1,878 higher than in the same month of 2024.

The highest number of real estate sales was recorded in Bucharest (9,643), followed by Ilfov (4,382) and Cluj (3,161). At the other end of the spectrum, the fewest properties were sold in Teleorman (51), Ialomița (206), and Alba (322).

In terms of mortgages, a total of 34,453 were registered nationwide in March 2025—8,726 more than in March 2024. The largest number of mortgages was registered in Bucharest (5,767), Ilfov (3,208), and Dolj (2,635). The fewest mortgage operations were recorded in Harghita (50), Covasna (77), and Sălaj (88).

The counties with the highest number of agricultural land sales in March 2025 were Dolj (921), Arad (682), and Vaslui (617).
