Real Estate Market Statistics – February 2025

In February 2025, a total of 51,978 properties were sold nationwide, an increase of 21,144 transactions compared to January.

The number of houses, land plots, and apartments sold during February was 1,815 fewer compared to the same period in 2024.

The highest number of real estate transactions in February 2025 were recorded in:

• Bucharest – 9,945,
• Ilfov County – 3,616,
• Constanța County – 2,908.

The counties with the fewest properties sold during the same period were:

• Teleorman – 57,
• Ialomița – 155,
• Giurgiu – 268.

Mortgages

The total number of mortgages registered nationwide in February 2025 was 29,514, which is 4,711 more than in February 2024. The most mortgage operations were recorded in:

• Bucharest – 6,201,
• Constanța – 2,651,
• Ilfov – 2,178.

At the opposite end, the counties with the fewest mortgages were:

• Bistrița-Năsăud – 82,
• Harghita – 84,
• Covasna – 88.

Agricultural Land Sales

The counties with the highest number of agricultural land sales in February 2025 were:

• Dolj – 596,
• Buzău – 521,
• Brăila – 452.
