Automation of construction site processes is becoming a global trend and is gradually entering the Romanian market. Technologies such as masonry robots, autonomous machinery, and digital monitoring systems increase efficiency and reduce reliance on manual labor.

A McKinsey report shows that the adoption of automation technologies can increase productivity by 20–30%, while reducing costs by up to 15%. In Romania, the first projects using construction robots and 3D printers for concrete elements are still in the pilot phase, but large companies are showing growing interest.

Automation also includes the use of IoT sensors for monitoring equipment and materials, which optimizes workflows and ensures compliance with deadlines. In the long term, these technologies will contribute to increased safety on construction sites and reduced environmental impact.

It is estimated that by 2030, at least 15% of standard processes on large Romanian construction sites will be fully automated, transforming the traditional way of building.
