The Competition Council has initiated a study on the residential and non-residential real estate market in Bucharest to identify potential barriers to industry development and aspects that may mislead consumers.

The study will analyze the relationships between active companies in the market and their operating methods during different phases of real estate development.

Thus, the competition authority aims to clarify aspects that can affect competition and, implicitly, consumers, such as legislation, the pace of development, causes leading to price increases, or potential quality reductions in construction.

As a result, the Competition Council will request information from active market players and consumers' opinions on the quality of construction, available facilities, or their management.

At the end of the analysis, the Competition Council will issue proposals and recommendations to eliminate the identified problems. We remind that the priority of the competition authority is to identify and eliminate any dysfunctions in the markets and to remedy any dysfunctions regarding access or the relationships of active companies in the market.
