In the context of efficiency, sustainability, and execution speed requirements, reusable polymer formwork is emerging as a viable alternative to traditional wood or metal systems. These are manufactured from composite materials such as reinforced polypropylene and can be reused up to 80–100 times without loss of shape or strength.

The advantages include reduced weight (30–40% lighter than metal formwork), easy handling without heavy equipment, and better thermal insulation during concrete pouring.

Construction companies report savings of 15–20% in total formwork costs and 25% shorter assembly–disassembly cycles.

In Romania, companies active in infrastructure and industrial construction are the main users, while European programs for site digitalization and automation are expected to accelerate the adoption of these technologies in the coming years.
