In recent years, metal structures have become an increasingly sought-after solution in the industrial, logistics, and commercial construction sectors. Data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) show an 18% increase in the volume of works using metal structures in the first eight months of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.
Among the major advantages are: speed of execution, the possibility of dismantling and relocation, architectural flexibility, and increased seismic resistance. In addition, metal structures allow for wide spans without the need for interior columns, making them ideal for industrial halls, shopping centers, and warehouses.
Designers benefit from a wide range of technical solutions – from lightweight galvanized profiles to large welded beams. Domestic manufacturers are increasingly investing in automated cutting and welding lines, which reduce costs and improve precision.
By 2026, it is estimated that 1 in 3 new industrial buildings will use metal structures, in the context of pressure for efficiency, sustainability, and short commissioning times.
