Starting in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Ministry of Development officially launched the national digital platform for managing building permits. The platform promises to reduce document issuance times by up to 50% and eliminate the submission of physical documents.

The platform is interconnected with the ANCPI database, the National Urban Planning Register, and the e-government portal. In its first month of operation, over 2,000 applications were submitted, 78% of which came from urban areas.

Features include electronic submission of documentation, online payment of fees, real-time tracking of approval stages, and automatic notifications to beneficiaries. Users can add supplementary documents to their file without restarting the entire process.

Urban planning specialists consider this transition an essential step in combating corruption, eliminating administrative delays, and aligning Romania with European standards in the construction sector.
