🏗️ Eurostat: Construction Production in January 2025 – Slight Rise in Euro Area, Decline in EU

According to preliminary estimates published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, seasonally adjusted construction production in January 2025 increased by 0.2% in the euro area and decreased by 0.2% in the EU, compared with December 2024. In December 2024, construction production had increased by 0.4% in the euro area and by 0.7% in the EU.

Compared with January 2024, construction output remained stable in the euro area and increased by 0.2% in the EU.

In the euro area, in January 2025 compared with December 2024:

  • Building construction rose by 0.9%
  • Civil engineering declined by 1.0%
  • Specialised construction activities slightly decreased by 0.1%
