THE NATIONAL COMPANY FOR ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT S.A., as the Beneficiary of the financing, and THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE, as the coordinator of reforms and/or investments for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, have agreed to conclude Financing Contract No. 48 for the project "Overpass for the Intermodal Transport Center - Oradea Municipality, Bihor County" for the purpose of granting financing through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component 4. Sustainable Transport;

Reform R1 - Sustainable transport, decarbonization, and road safety / Investment I3 - Development of sustainable road infrastructure on the TEN-T network, road pricing, traffic management, and road safety.

The general objective of the project is to eliminate black spots/hotspots in terms of road safety and represents one of the measures to eliminate the 129 black spots/hotspots in terms of road safety, namely the construction of overpasses for road safety, namely:

Reliable and uninterrupted long-distance travel as well as shuttle relationships, by maintaining travel time without being affected by road events;

Improving traffic safety conditions and reducing vehicle operating costs;

Achieving expected operational results with minimal capital costs and justified maintenance and operating costs.

The total value of the project is 46,754,917.59 lei, of which the value of European funds related to the PNRR is 12,170,684.78 lei, national co-financing represents 27,119,248.15 lei, and the related VAT is 7,464,984.66 lei.

Project duration: The project implementation period begins from the date of its signing, i.e., from 16.01.2024 until 31.12.2026, including, if applicable, the period of carrying out project activities before signing the Financing Contract, in accordance with the eligibility rules for expenses.
