"From the beginning of my mandate, I have aimed to have a direct relationship with all local authorities to jointly find funding opportunities and address issues encountered in project implementation.

I encourage all mayors to think of integrated projects that meet the needs of the communities they represent and to access the funds made available by the Ministry of Development through the programs it coordinates," said Minister Adrian-Ioan Veștea on the occasion of signing 50 new funding contracts through the "Anghel Saligny" National Investment Program.

The contracts, with a total value of 530,350,791.44 lei, were signed at the Ministry of Development headquarters, together with some of the project beneficiaries, and they aim to modernize road infrastructure as well as establish or expand drinking water supply systems, sewage systems, and wastewater treatment plants.

Through the "Anghel Saligny" National Investment Program, over 9,000 km of water supply networks, 17,000 km of sewer networks, 2,000 km of county roads, and 15,000 km of local roads will be developed, along with 104 natural gas distribution systems, transferred from the Large Infrastructure Operational Program (POIM).
