Cseke Attila, the Minister of Development, Public Works, and Administration, has signed financing contracts to secure the necessary funds for six projects that will undergo seismic strengthening through funding programs managed by the Ministry of Development.

**"Seismic strengthening of buildings is a priority for the Ministry of Development and the Government. In 2025, we have a record budget of 1.5 billion euros to sign such financing contracts, ensuring that we will have safe schools and kindergartens, secure hospitals, reinforced residential blocks, and seismically strengthened public buildings.

At the same time, the Ministry of Development has a budget of 820 million lei for the payment of completed seismic strengthening works. These projects can only be carried out with the continuous involvement of local authorities,"** emphasized Minister Cseke Attila.

Two buildings of the General CF Hospital in Pașcani, Iași County, will be reinforced with funding of 25.2 million lei from the Ministry of Development. Additionally, a cultural building in Tecuci, Galați County, will undergo seismic strengthening and conversion under a 21.5 million lei financing contract.

Furthermore, the Ministry is allocating over 12 million lei for the reinforcement, repair, and thermal rehabilitation of a residential block in the Burdujeni neighborhood, Suceava Municipality, where an explosion in December 2022 forced residents to evacuate.

The Ministry of Development will also provide:

• Over 9.5 million lei for the rehabilitation and strengthening of a kindergarten in Sector 5, Bucharest.
• More than 2.5 million lei for the modernization of the school in Maliuc, Tulcea County.
• A funding of over 1.6 million lei for the school in Vadu Stanchii village, Corbii Mari commune, Dâmbovița County.
