The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA) announced the reimbursement of a total amount of RON 6,814,395.20 for 18 investments aimed at strengthening buildings at seismic risk, including educational units and public buildings of community interest.

The Minister of Development, Cseke Attila, emphasized the importance of these interventions: “Strengthening buildings at seismic risk remains a priority for the Ministry of Development, being essential both for the safety of citizens and for the protection of their property.”

Among the targeted objectives are the rehabilitation of the Cultural Palace in Bârlad, as well as modernization and strengthening works at the “Ștefan Petică” Municipal Library and other public buildings in the municipality of Tecuci.

In addition, in Lunca commune, Teleorman County, the Operational Center of the Local Committee for Emergency Situations is undergoing rehabilitation. The investments also include the strengthening of eight educational units and one healthcare facility in the counties of Dâmbovița, Ialomița, Olt, Timiș, and Vrancea.

Similar works are also underway in Vâlcea County, where a multifunctional center and a social protection center in Șușani commune are being renovated, as well as in the municipality of Craiova, where several public buildings are undergoing consolidation.
