The government has approved the commencement of works for the construction of three new facilities to be executed by the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration through the National Investment Company.

The first project concerns the "Gheorghe Hagi" stadium in the city of Constanța, with a project value of 490,936,487.01 lei and a capacity of 18,000 seats.

The second project involves the construction of the "Nicolae Dobrin" stadium in the city of Pitești, with a value of 372,856,532.03 lei and a capacity of 15,200 spectator seats.

Both stadiums will be built to meet the UEFA 4 classification requirements.

Additionally, the commencement of works for an artificial ice rink in the city of Sfântu Gheorghe was approved today, with a value of 245,396,751.35 lei and a capacity of 2,180 spectators, serving as a base for practicing ice hockey.

The three facilities will be constructed to optimal operating standards and will be equipped with modern amenities for training, competitions, and sports events, in compliance with European norms. (Photo: MDLPA)
