Romanian Minister of Development Signs 19 New Funding Contracts Worth Over 212 Million Lei
Cseke Attila, Romania’s Minister of Development, has signed 19 new funding contracts under the National Investment Program "Anghel Saligny", totaling 212,794,737.88 lei (approximately €42.8 million).
The newly approved projects aim to modernize road infrastructure and to establish or expand key utility networks such as drinking water supply systems, wastewater treatment stations, sewerage networks, and intelligent natural gas distribution systems.
Minister Cseke emphasized that, to date, a total of 4,149 funding contracts have been signed under the program, amounting to 49,330,702,453.82 lei (nearly €10 billion).
“The Anghel Saligny National Investment Program was created to ensure essential public service infrastructure, including the connection of households to water, sewage, and gas networks, as well as the modernization of roads and bridges. We are currently overseeing development works worth nearly 50 billion lei,” said Minister Cseke Attila.
