The NATIONAL COMPANY FOR ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT S.A., as the Applicant, has prepared and submitted the Financing Application for the project "Completion/Revision of Feasibility Study, Technical Project Development, for the Bucharest-Brasov Highway, Ploiesti-Brasov section" for the purpose of receiving non-reimbursable funding allocated through the Transport Program, under RSO3.1_Development of a TEN-T network, resilient to climate change, intelligent, safe, sustainable, and intermodal Priority: P2. Improvement of secondary road connectivity; Specific Objective 3.1 Development of a TEN-T network, resilient to climate change, intelligent, safe, sustainable, and intermodal Fund: Cohesion Fund; Operation: Actions contributing to the achievement of Specific Objective OS 3.1

The general objective of the project is to improve Romania's economic competitiveness by developing transport infrastructure that facilitates economic integration in the EU, thus contributing to the development of the domestic market with the aim of creating conditions for increasing investment volume, promoting sustainable transport, and cohesion in the European road network.

The specific objective of the project:

Completion/Revision of the Feasibility Study (FS), taking into account the full applicability of current legislation (norms, regulations, standards, laws, etc.);

Development of the Project for the Authorization of Construction Works (PAC) and technical assistance until the construction authorization is obtained by the Beneficiary (NATIONAL COMPANY FOR ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT);

Development of the Detailed Technical Project (PTE), taking into account the full applicability of current legislation (norms, regulations, standards, laws, etc.);

The total value of the project is 73,084,259.17 lei and will be financed through the Transport Program as follows: the contribution of the European Union from the Cohesion Fund - 6,031,836.52 lei, own contribution - 55,602,038.80 lei, the difference up to the total project value representing ineligible expenses including VAT, namely 11,450,383.85 lei. The duration of the project is 83 months.

The project is co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020.
