EU Housing Prices Continue to Climb in Q4 2024
In the fourth quarter of 2024, housing prices, as measured by the House Price Index (HPI), rose by 4.2% in the euro area and 4.9% in the EU compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
In the third quarter of 2024, prices had increased by 2.7% in the euro area and 3.9% in the EU. These figures come from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Compared with Q3 2024, housing prices rose by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.8% in the EU during Q4 2024.
House Price Trends Across EU Member States
Among the EU Member States for which data is available, two countries reported an annual decline in house prices during the fourth quarter of 2024, while twenty-four recorded an annual increase.
