The Competition Council has authorized the transaction in which Romcim S.A. acquires Bauelemente Reinvest S.R.L. and its subsidiary, Bauelemente S.R.L. Romcim S.A. produces and sells cement, concrete, aggregates, road binders, and limestone fillers.

The company is part of the CRH group, which operates globally in the field of construction materials. The group's parent company is CRH plc. from Ireland.

Bauelemente Reinvest S.R.L. is a holding company. Bauelemente S.R.L. manufactures concrete products for construction and produces and sells prefabricated concrete elements.

Both companies are part of the Baupartner group, which mainly engages in activities related to the production and sale of prefabricated concrete products, as well as residential development.

Following the analysis, the Competition Council has found that this operation does not create significant barriers to effective competition in the Romanian market or a substantial part thereof and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.

The decision will be published on the National Competition Authority's website after removing confidential information.
