Ministry of Development Signs First Grant Contract Under Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Ukraine Program

The Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration, acting as the Managing Authority for the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 Program, announces the signing of the first grant contract for projects selected under the Small-Value Project Call.

This initial call for projects addresses the three key priorities of the program: cross-border environmental focus, cross-border social development, and border cooperation.

The BAT2LIFE project, with a total budget of €391,555.80, of which €352,400.22 represents the requested grant, is being implemented by the E-CONSULT Association Satu Mare as the lead partner, in collaboration with the Institute for Ecological and Religious Studies in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. The project aims to ensure the sustainability of key aspects of bat conservation while raising awareness among local communities about environmental issues.

The contract funds biodiversity protection in the cross-border region, specifically Satu Mare County and the Transcarpathian region.
