According to the MDLPA, the Government of Romania has approved the establishment of the Public Hospital in Sector 6 of Bucharest.

The facility will be built on Timișoara Boulevard and will provide modern, high-standard medical services that complement the services of public hospitals in Bucharest, ensuring functional hospital circuits, quality medical care, the provision of diverse medical services, minimizing the risk of nosocomial infections, and attracting and retaining qualified medical personnel.

The new hospital will have a capacity of 307 beds (257 beds for continuous hospitalization and 50 beds for day hospitalization), 10 departments (neurology, cardiology, internal medicine, obstetrics-gynecology, neonatology, surgery, intensive care, orthopedics, oncology, and ophthalmology), 8 operating rooms, and 7 delivery rooms.

The building will have a height regime of S+P+1E+2R+3R+4R+5R (basement + ground floor + one floor + 4 recessed floors), with a total area of 30,416.19 square meters. The building complex will feature a ground-level parking lot with at least 365 parking spaces.

The investment objective will have a minimal impact on the natural environment, based on a new, modern, sustainable building concept with low energy consumption, complying with the requirements of nearly zero-energy buildings.

The medical facility, for which the environmental and social impact assessment study has already been completed, will be fully financed from its own revenues and will operate on the principle of financial autonomy. (Photo: Freepik)
