The use of ready-mixed concrete has become a standard practice on major urban construction sites across Europe, thanks to its logistical advantages and consistent quality. According to Eurostat (2024), over 65% of urban infrastructure projects in the European Union use concrete delivered directly from automated plants on a just-in-time basis.

In Romania, the ready-mixed concrete market grew by 8.2% in 2023, reaching more than 6.4 million cubic meters delivered, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS). This trend is driven by the growing demand for public construction projects and increasingly strict regulations on material quality. Modern concrete plants integrate sensors for automatic dosing, temperature control, and recipe traceability, helping to reduce quality deviations to below 2% and minimize raw material losses.

Optimized transport solutions and automated pumping systems significantly reduce working times and the number of operators required on site. According to a JRC study (2024), the use of ready-mixed concrete can shorten total project execution time by up to 25% compared with traditional methods.

Technology not only speeds up construction but also enhances sustainability. The use of eco-friendly additives and water recycling in the production process can reduce the carbon footprint by up to 30%. Therefore, ready-mixed concrete is no longer just a practical solution—it has become the standard for efficient and environmentally compliant construction.
