New Feasibility Study Contract Signed for the Bacău–Piatra Neamț Expressway

MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE, acting as the Managing Authority for the Transport Programme 2021–2027, and the NATIONAL COMPANY FOR ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE ADMINISTRATION (CNAIR S.A.), acting as the Beneficiary, have officially signed Financing Contract No. 98/2025 for the project:

"Feasibility Study for the Bacău–Piatra Neamț Expressway"

🛣️ General Objective of the Project:

To enhance Romania’s economic competitiveness through the development of a modern transport infrastructure that supports the country’s economic integration into the EU, facilitates growth in domestic and international investment, and promotes sustainable mobility and cohesion within the European road network.

🎯 Specific Project Objective:

• Preparation of the Feasibility Study for the Bacău–Piatra Neamț express road.

💰 Project Financial Overview:

• Total Project Value: 10,286,116.64 RON
• Eligible Non-Reimbursable Funding from FEDR (European Regional Development Fund): 3,474,577.80 RON (representing 40% of the total approved eligible value)
• Beneficiary’s Eligible Co-Financing (public co-financing of 60%): 5,211,866.70 RON

📅 Implementation Period:

The project must be completed no later than December 31, 2029.
