Genesis Property announces the completion of Phase II of the YUNITY Park project – a premiere in the Romanian real estate landscape and one of the most innovative office parks in Romania.

Phase II of the project involved an investment of 20 million euros and features an urban forest of 1,000 square meters contributing to the absorption of over 5 tons of CO2 annually, an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of 1,500 people, 2,000 meters of pedestrian walkways and terraced promenade, stepped water mirrors, creative spaces for meetings, fluid architecture, and biophilic design addressing human needs for integration with nature.

The facilities provided by YUNITY Park represent a paradigm shift in how people approach office life, especially in a post-pandemic world where quality of life is crucial, and the balance between professional and personal life is a major factor in choosing a workplace.

Liviu Tudor, President of Genesis Property, stated, "YUNITY Park marks the beginning of a new era in workspace design. It's not just about a traditional office; it's about creating a public space, specifically designed as a sustainable extension of the work environment. We want to redefine how we work, change the workspace paradigm, and YUNITY Park is a model for the future, emphasizing ecological responsibility, flexibility in workspace arrangements, and cost efficiency."

In addition to elements designed for people's well-being, the project's infrastructure includes components aimed at reducing utility costs for common areas, bringing direct financial benefits to tenant companies.

Key components include a rainwater retention basin ensuring irrigation for the entire park, intelligent and energy-efficient LED systems for nighttime lighting, and a network of over 1,000 photovoltaic panels installed on the roofs of campus buildings. These panels generate 12% of the park's total energy consumption, and from February 2023 to the present, 317 tons of CO₂ have been reduced, 17,196 trees have been saved, and 128 tons of coal have been reduced.

"This park is not just a green space; it is a complex structure equivalent to an investment in two office buildings. In addition to the urban forest, we have integrated 4,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels, which produce more energy than needed to maintain green spaces. In the current context, companies are looking for solutions to reduce costs and the rented office space while maintaining a high level of productivity and space quality. YUNITY Park meets these needs, setting a new standard in the real estate industry," added Liviu Tudor.

The total investment in transforming YUNITY Park will exceed 50 million euros, with the final delivery date in Q3 2024.

Genesis Property is the first real estate developer in Romania to join the UN Global Compact. The portfolio buildings have been BREEAM Very Good certified since 2013 and are in the process of obtaining BREEAM Outstanding certification. YUNITY Park will meet nZEB criteria starting this year. Moreover, all seven buildings in YUNITY Park will have the IMMUNE Building Standard™ – Resilient, with 5 stars out of 5, reflecting Genesis Property's commitment to a healthy work environment and urban life.

"At Genesis Property, we are committed to building not just buildings but sustainable and innovative communities. YUNITY Park is the culmination of this vision, demonstrating our commitment to a future where workspaces are in harmony with the environment and human needs," stated Liviu Tudor.
