At the proposal of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration (MDLPA), the Government has decided to allocate the amount of 500 million lei from the Budget Reserve Fund at the Government's disposal, provided in the state budget for the year 2023, for the financing of the "Anghel Saligny" National Investment Program (PNIAS), coordinated by MDLPA, and the National Program for Public or Social Interest Constructions (PNCIPS), carried out by the National Investment Company (CNI).
According to the normative act, the PNIAS budget will be supplemented with 300 million lei to partially honor the transfer requests recorded starting from September, for the realization of investment objectives funded through this program.
Additionally, the PNCIPS budget will be supplemented with the sum of 200 million lei to partially honor the outstanding payments recorded starting from August 2023, related to the works executed for the completion of investment objectives included in the program.
The normative act was necessary as the failure to make timely payments can lead to both non-compliance with the assumed deadlines, delays in the execution of works, additional costs due to their conservation and security, as well as financial risks generated by price increases.
"It is important to maintain the pace we have had so far, to continue the projects, and to achieve the development objectives of all local communities through investments in the modernization of road, educational, medical, and social infrastructure, as well as technical-edilitarian networks.
All these projects bring real benefits to the citizens of all counties in the country, thus contributing to reducing socio-economic disparities between regions," stated Minister Adrian-Ioan Veștea.
