In August 2023, a total of 59,425 real estate properties were sold nationwide, which is 8,694 more than in July. The number of houses, lands, and apartments involved in these transactions in August is 1,039 higher compared to the same period in 2022.

The majority of real estate sales in August 2023 were recorded in the following regions: Bucharest - 10,470, Ilfov - 4,248, and Cluj - 2,999. Conversely, the counties with the fewest properties sold during the same period were Teleorman - 144, Olt - 166, and Caraș-Severin - 332.

The number of mortgages at the national level in August 2023 was 22,897, which is 711 more than in August 2022. The highest number of mortgage transactions were recorded in Bucharest - 4,826, Ilfov - 2,138, and Timiș - 1,520. On the other hand, the counties with the fewest mortgage transactions were Harghita - 45, Sălaj - 52, and Covasna - 79.

The counties with the most agricultural land sold in the eighth month of 2023 were Buzău - 642, Dolj - 606, and Suceava - 543.
