The National Housing Agency (ANL), an institution under the authority of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration (MDLPA), has received 60 rental apartments for young people in the city of Dej (Cluj county).

The apartments (2-room units) were constructed on the site located at 1 Fericirii Street, with a height regime of D+G+4F (basement + ground floor + 4 floors), and the investment value amounted to 20,145,947.97 lei (including VAT).

So far, within the same program, ANL has completed 700 housing units in Cluj county, distributed across various localities: Câmpia Turzii (79), Turda (40), Cluj-Napoca (206), Florești (200), Huedin (53), and Gherla (122).

The housing construction program for young people for rental purposes was launched by ANL in 2001. The homes are built on lands provided to the Agency by local public authorities.

Beneficiaries are young people between 18 and 35 years old who meet the legal conditions to access such housing. Access is obtained by submitting applications to local authorities, who then compile distribution lists.

Currently, the rental homes for young people can be purchased by tenants after a minimum one-year rental period, through the payment of equal monthly installments to local public authorities, by contracting mortgage loans from authorized financial institutions, including with state guarantees, or by fully paying the final price from their own sources.

The funds needed to finance the program come from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration (MDLPA), from local budgets, as well as from other legally constituted sources.
