Elaboration of the Horezu Bypass Variant feasibility study

The National Company for the Management of Road Infrastructure S.A. (COMPANIA NAȚIONALĂ DE ADMINISTRARE A INFRASTRUCTURII RUTIERE S.A.), as the beneficiary, and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure have agreed to conclude Financing Contract No. 262 for the project "Feasibility Study for the Horezu Bypass."

The contract involves non-reimbursable financing allocated through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020, under Priority Axis:

Developing a multimodal, quality, sustainable, and efficient transport system, Specific Objective 1.1 Call for projects for the DEVELOPMENT OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE - support for the preparation of investment projects, Operation - Increasing accessibility to areas with low connectivity to the TEN-T road infrastructure.

The general objective of the project is to improve Romania's economic competitiveness by developing transport infrastructure that facilitates economic integration into the EU, thereby contributing to the development of the domestic market to create conditions for increased investment, promoting sustainable transport, and cohesion in the European road network.

The specific objective of the project is to elaborate the Feasibility Study.

The total value of the project is 902,152.65 lei and will be financed through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 as follows: 85% European Union contribution from the European Regional Development Fund – 645,812.15 lei, 15% own contribution 113,966.85 lei, the difference up to the total value representing ineligible expenses, including VAT.

Project duration: 24 months, from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2023, with the possibility of adding the period of project activities before signing the Financing Contract, according to eligibility rules for expenses.

The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020.
