According to the INS, in April 2023, the volume of construction works decreased, compared to March 2023, as a gross series, by 6.4%, and as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, by 4.2 %.

In April 2023, the volume of construction works increased, compared to April 2022, as a gross series, by 10.8%, and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 14.8%.

In the period 1.I-30.IV.2023, the volume of construction works increased, compared to the period 1.I-30.IV.2022, as a gross series, by 12.1%, and as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, with 12.9%.

April 2023 compared to March 2023

The volume of construction works decreased, as a gross series, by 6.4%, a marked decrease in new construction works (-8.2%) and in current maintenance and repair works (-7.1%). Capital repair works increased by 10.4%.

Regarding construction objects, there were decreases in residential buildings (-13.6%) and in non-residential buildings (-10.9%). Engineering construction works increased by 0.4%. The volume of construction works decreased, as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, by 4.2%, a marked decrease in maintenance and current repair works (-14.2%) and in new construction works ( -3.4%). Capital repair works increased by 12.2%.

On construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased in residential buildings (-13.8%) and in non-residential buildings (-7.3%). Engineering constructions increased by 3.0%.

April 2023 compared to April 2022

The volume of construction works, as a gross series, increased, in total, by 10.8%. By structural elements, increases were recorded in capital repair works (+43.2%), current maintenance and repair works (+8.4%) and new construction works (+8.1%). On construction objects, an increase was registered in engineering constructions (+39.2%).

Residential buildings and non-residential buildings decreased by 9.2% and 6.2%, respectively. As a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased, in total, by 14.8%.

On structural elements, there were increases in capital repair works (+46.3%), new construction works (+10.5%) and current maintenance and repair works (+7.6%). On construction objects, an increase was recorded in engineering constructions (+42.4%). Residential buildings and non-residential buildings decreased by 7.6% and 4.5%, respectively.

The period 1.I-30.IV.2023 compared to the period 1.I-30.IV.2022

The volume of construction works, as a gross series, increased, in total, by 12.1%. By structural elements, increases occurred in capital repair works (+30.9%), new construction works (+13.2%) and current maintenance and repair works (+2.8%).

On construction objects, there were increases in engineering constructions (+29.6%) and residential buildings (+1.8%).
