The NATIONAL COMPANY FOR ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT S.A., as the Beneficiary of the funding, and the MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE, as the coordinator of reforms and/or investments for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, have agreed to conclude Financing Contract No. 41 for the project "Feasibility Study and Project Development for the Authorization of Construction Works for 8 Pedestrian Passages (DRDP Buzau)" for the purpose of providing funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component 4: Sustainable Transport.

-Reform R1 - Sustainable transport, decarbonization, and road safety / Investment I3 - Development of sustainable road infrastructure on the TEN-T network, road pricing, traffic management, and road safety.

The general objective of the project is to increase road safety by reducing the number of road accidents in the following areas:

• DN 2 km 84+120, Limpezis locality, Buzau county
• DN 2 km 95+470, Costesti locality, Buzau county
• DN 2 km 115+300, Maracineni locality, Buzau county
• DN 2 km 122+700, Posta Calnau locality, Buzau county
• DN 2 km 179+025, Golesti locality, Vrancea county
• DN 2 km 192+948, Garoafa locality, Vrancea county
• DN 2 km 203+630, in the area of the Heroes Mausoleum at Marasesti, Vrancea county
• DN 21 km 3+500, Lacu Sarat locality, Braila county

The specific objective is to bring improvements in terms of travel speed by decongesting traffic in the mentioned areas.

Improving traffic conditions at the national road transport network level, including road safety, reducing pollutant emissions, and operating costs.

The total value of the project is 2,993,282.57 lei, of which the value of European funds under the NRRP is 880,377.25 lei, national co-financing is 1,634,986.28 lei, and the corresponding VAT is 477,919.04 lei.

Project duration: The implementation period of the project starts from the signing date, i.e., from 04.12.2023 until 31.12.2026, including, if applicable, the period of project activities before signing the Financing Contract, according to the eligibility rules of expenses.
