Transparent Communication Between Builder and Client – A Key to Project Success

A transparent and well-structured relationship between the builder and the client is essential for the success of any construction project. According to a study by the Chartered Institute of Building, more than 60% of conflicts in construction are caused by contractual ambiguities or lack of communication.

Best practices start with a detailed contract that includes:

  • a clear description of the scope of work,
  • intermediate and final deadlines,
  • penalties for delays,
  • and the handover and acceptance procedure. It is also crucial to assign a dedicated point of contact from both sides.

During execution, weekly progress meetings and keeping technical documentation up to date are strongly recommended. At project handover, a detailed handover report and functional testing of installations help reduce the risk of future defects.

Implementing these best practices can reduce disputes by up to 30% and significantly improve client satisfaction.
