In the third quarter of 2023, 17,916 dwellings were put into use, a decrease of 2,307 dwellings compared to the third quarter of 2022. In the period from January 1 to September 30, 2023, 49,993 dwellings were completed, a decrease of 2,801 dwellings compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
By residence areas, in the third quarter of 2023, the majority of dwellings were constructed in urban areas (59.8%).
The distribution of completed dwellings by funding sources reveals that in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the third quarter of 2022, the number of dwellings constructed from private funds decreased by 2,543 dwellings, while those from public funds increased by 236 dwellings.
The regional distribution in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the third quarter of 2022 highlights a decrease in the number of completed dwellings in the following development regions:
Increases occurred in two development regions: Center (+30 dwellings) and North–West (+17 dwellings).
For the period from January 1 to September 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022:
Increases in the number of completed homes were registered in the development regions: South-East (+586 homes), North-East (+48) and South-West Oltenia (+17).
